Sofie Winterson’s second video, made by photography duo Petrovsky & Ramone, to guide the single ‘River’ is out Now with a powerpremiere through Vevo! Today the track also officially sees the light of day on all your favourite portals including Itunes, Deezer and Spotify.

For this video Sofie teamed up with photography-film duo Petrovsky & Ramone who have quite a few Vogue covers under their belt and portrayed artists from the likes of MIA. Petrovsky & Ramone found their inspiration for this video in 60s German topmodel Veruschka who is known for her extravagant usage of make up to blend into nature and give expression to a kind of melancholy mood such as the song does. The song uses a River as a metaphor and so blends with nature in it’s own way. The video was shot on beautiful Lanzarote, a volcanic Island off the Spanish coast, where Sofie is portrayed as her own version of Veruschka and nature goddess cut with studio performance shots creating a surreal world where nature, music and Sofie blend together to guide the song.

Petrovsky & Ramone are a photography-film duo who are based in Amsterdam with clients such as Vogue and National Opera&Ballet. ‘River’ is their first music video.
